Workspaces Are Shifting

December 29, 2021

It has caught all of our attention that business districts have been booming all over Egypt for the past 10 years. All major developers have put a lot of effort, time, and money into developing their own unique business districts whether in the East or West of Cairo. Good examples are Cairo Festival City, Smart Village, the Waterway, Trivium, Arkan and many more. In addition, they are getting progressively creative in terms of designs, spaces, services, locations, views and even payment plans.

Due to the Covid-19 circumstances, many professionals are now comfortable with the idea of working from home. That being said, it directly affects the demand on the office spaces leaving a significant surplus in the market.

Coworking spaces or flexible workspaces have shown great results for the individuals so far as mentioned in the analysis below:

  • 75% reported an increase in productivity since joining their space.
  • 80% reported an increase in the size of their business network.
  • 92% reported an increase in the size of their social circle.
  • 86% reported a decrease in their sense of isolation.
  • 83% reported that they trusted others in their coworking space.

In addition, a recent KPMG study shows 21% of CEOs are now planning to downsize physical office space (or have already done so) because of the pandemic and changing working habits. Another 51% will consider shared office spaces or flex spaces for increased flexibility, and 42% want to hire predominately remote talent.

We at Tayf Egypt have decided to take the situation on hand as an opportunity not a threat. Moreover, we believe that home is not the best work environment there is. It is not very convenient to work, have calls and online meetings with your family in the other room. As a result, we are coming up with a concept that could benefit all parties involved.

Our offerings include coworking spaces, serviced offices, shared meeting and conference rooms, and regular office spaces for those who are still planning to work in the traditional office environment, all in one building under the name “Llivia”.
